Dr. Hilary Pomeroy is a specialist in the Judeo-Spanish ballad and has
lectured widely on this subject. She is Lecturer in Sephardic Culture in the
Department of Hebrew & Jewish Studies at University College London and
chairs the British Conference on Judeo-Spanish Studies.
Hilary’s study of a ballad collection from Morocco, The Sephardic Ballad
Notebook of Halia Isaac Cohen, was published in 2005 (Newark, Delaware: Juan
de la Cuesta).
